A debut film screening in Santa Cruz of "2012 The Mayan Word." This groundbreaking documentary carries the voices of the Mayan people as they share their perspectives on the prophecies of their ancestors and their fight to defend Mother Earth and their culture from destruction.
The film is both a message of hope and a call to action.

All proceeds from this benefit event will go towards Peace and Dignity Journeys to support their 2012 spiritual run that is dedicated to the water and to re-uniting the indigenous nations of the Americas. Peace & Dignity representatives will be at the event and will speak about this year's journey, which is already underway.
