Due to listener demand, here is the public posting of the KPFA and Pacifica income statements. They are also posted on http://www.kpfa.org, or at least will be fairly soon. Any follow-up questions, my contact info is available at http://www.media-alliance.org.
Enclosed are 6-month income statements for KPFA 94.1FM and the Pacifica Foundation as a whole (which includes WBAI-FM New York, WPFW-FM District of Columbia, KPFT Houston Metro, KPFK, Los Angeles/Santa Barbara and the Pacifica Archives). Pacifica's fiscal year began 10-1-2011 and runs through 9-30-2012.
Listeners should know the 50,000 watt tube transmitter for Houston station KPFT recently blew out and will need to be replaced. Major unplanned expense of at least $180,000.
