WASHINGTON, DC -- The race between Jill Stein and Roseanne Barr for the Green Party's 2012 nomination is heating up as state Green Parties choose delegates for the convention in Baltimore, Md., July 12-15 (http://www.gpconvention2012.com). Links to video clips, interviews, and news on Dr. Stein and Ms. Barr, as well as several Green candidates for Congress are listed below.

The Green Party has posted a page online with a chart that displays delegate counts for state Green Parties that have participated in primary elections or held statewide conventions and caucuses (http://www.gp.org/committees/pcsc/2012/documents/Delegate-Tracking-2012.pdf).

As of April 2, Jill Stein was in the lead with at least 62.5 delegates, followed by Roseanne Barr with 8.5 and Kent Mesplay with 5.5. Delegate numbers related to results of the April 3 primaries are still being determined, but Dr. Stein has won in the District of Columbia. 201 delegates are necessary for the Green nomination. (District of Columbia primary results: http://www.voteresults.org/?STATE=DC)

In New York, Colia Clark was nominated for the US Senate (http://www.web.gpnys.com/?p=11728 / video links below).

The Green Party has posted a Media Credentialing page for journalists, bloggers, and other members of the media to register for the 2012 Green convention: http://www.gpconvention2012.com/p/media.html

The Hawaii Green Party now has ballot status, after the Hawaii Office of Elections determined that the party handed in enough valid signatures (http://www.ballot-access.org/2012/03/28/hawaii-green-party-petition-has-enough-valid-signatures). So far, 21 state Green Parties already have a ballot line in the 2012 general election. The Green Party of the United States is aiming for at least 46 ballot lines.
