In Front of Wells Fargo Bank at 74 River St in Santa Cruz

Polling, Petitioning, and Fliering Outside Wells Fargo Bank to encourage those victimized by the bank to learn they have allies.

This is also a support action for the hundreds of people who visited or protested the vacant building at 75 River St. across the street from Wells Fargo in late November and early December last year.

D.A. Bob Lee has selectively chosen 11 people--activists, journalists, and whistleblowers out of the many who went in and out of that bank during the peaceful three-day occupation. These 11 face up to 8 years in prison and astronomical fines in an case of political targeting previously unknown in Santa Cruz.

The charges seem to be part of a national attempt to shut down Occupy Santa Cruz protests (though Occupy Santa Cruz was not a sponsor of the bank takeover).

In other cities, such protests faced trespass charges at best:

Join us in opposing bankster fraud and D.A. complicity and help to restore civil liberties in Santa Cruz.

HUFF (Homeless United for Friendship & Freedom) will be meeting 10 AM to noon today at the Sub Rosa Cafe to discuss this protest (Conspiracy to Restore Justice) if you wish to check i
