Pics and Video from teach-in at State building in SF
On Thursday March 1st, students, teachers, City College Trustees, activists, and Occupy SF'ers held a teach-in at the State building in San Francisco. The pics and video are from that action.
Teachers, students, a City College Board Trustee, and activists held a teach-in and press conference in the California State building in San Francisco to let legislators know they are demanding change when it comes to educational related funding in California. And until their demands are met they intend to keep protesting until the California budget does not include cuts to social services and education. Governor Jerry Brown's budget includes many cuts to the services that are used by the disadvantaged, the poor and students.
After the press conference, CHP officers detained, cited and released the protesters. The building closes at 6pm.
Their demands are; Tax the Rich
Pass the millionaires tax
Tax oil related corporations
