'Bailout Ben' says Capitalist "recovery" is painfully slow
In testimony to Congress this week, Fed Chair "Bailout Ben" Bernanke--who actively pushed for the US$14 Trillion Bailout of Wall Street's Clunkered Corporations back in 2008--now concedes that the Capitalist economic "recovery" will be "painfully slow" for the rest of this year, and probably beyond. Of course, Bernanke and his Wall Street-paid shill and Boss Barack cannot bring themselves to admit that the Era of Peak Capitalism has already passed, so they keep repeating their tired mantra that it will just take a little longer for the "recovery" to return...
2 years ago, after injecting nearly the nation's annual GDP to stave off bankruptcy of Wall Street's biggest criminal financial houses, both Bernanke and Barack were talking confidently about the many "green shoots" in the economy that were supposed to be taking roots. Meanwhile, they did not utter a single word about prosecuting those criminal banksters whose fraudulent financial Ponzi scams sent the entire global economy into a historic tailspin. And both the Democrat NeoLIBs as well as the GOP NeoCONs refused to restrict the billions of dollars in bonuses paid to those CEOs whose companies received the massive taxpayers' subsidies. The result was that, while tens of millions of workers were laid off from Corporate America(in addition to similar millions of homeowners who were tricked into buying those toxically resettable mortgages and wound up facing foreclosures), the top Wall Street crooks raked in billions of windfall bonuses. Did Barack or Bailout Ben raise any objections to this rapacious 'highway robbery'? Of course not, since the entire USA political establishment has been bought lock, stock and barrel by Wall Street tycoons, can anyone expect politicians to really care about the working class rather than their buddies at Goldman Sachs or Bank of America?
The fact of the matter is, in the upcoming November elections, there won't be a real choice being offered to the nation's 100 million-plus voters. All of the politicians will consciously uphold the 1 percent of the Profitariat's Militarized Tyranny, while either placating or ignoring the 99-percent's role as Builders of Common Legacies of Humankind.
