Occupy Local: Only Support Bay Area Business

Occupying something is necessary. We are in a crisis. We live in the "richest" country in the world yet I walk through Golden Gate Park and see all the lonely people.

The government doesn't know what to do. They are too busy arguing about who is right about what happens after death. WHO GIVES A SHIT! We need to focus on what is happening now! Occupying the streets is great and all, but the country isn't run by just the government. It is run by giant corporations that people unknowingly support whenever they buy anything. Go through the fast food line, the major grocery story, the corner store, when we go to the vending machine, basically anything mainstream. It's all run by companies that want you to consume more. Those local corner stores might not necessary be run by corporations but they buy their product which leaves people who want to support local out of options.

Well next time you consume. Look at the label!! Local businesses has YOUR interests in mind because they are in the same boat. You don't support them, they sink. You support them, they allow the boat to float and get everyone jobs.

We all want government to change and hopefully our efforts will work. Until then, do what you should and support businesses that want to help the community rather than gain so much profits that they become the corporations we know today.

Keep it real Oakland! Occupy the shit out of downtown and think about looking for looking to purchase from local businesses using local goods!
I know it's difficult and people are struggling to feed themselves, but there are businesses that are doing the right thing and want to help you and need your help.
