Wellstone: They Killed Him 17 minute preview

This film examines the mysterious death of Senator Paul Wellstone on October 25, 2002 just 11 days before the US senate election in which he was running for a third term. Wellstone was an outspoken critic of the Bush’s administration drive to attack Iraq and was planning to cast his vote against invading Iraq.

This video by Snowshoe Films examines the very real possibility that Wellstone was assassinated, when his plane crashed in Minnesota killing all 8 aboard. The FBI were on the scene within hours and immediately ruled out foul play. The NTSB ruled that it was “pilot error” and yet the weather was fine and they were within sight of the runway. There was no “mayday” call and some of the witnesses said it appeared the plane suddenly lost all power. Citing the means, motive and opportunity, the film makers speculate who probably was behind the assassination.

High on the motive list is that Senator Paul Wellstone – one of 23 senators who voted against the Iraq war – was “sticking his nose into 9/11” which for the Bush administration was taboo. (Runtime: 1:57 mins http://www.WellstoneTheyKilledHim.com)
