Theft at Trader Joes, Help Needed
A disabled woman was robbed at Trader Joe's in Emeryville this week. Help is needed in restoring her lost funds.
Earlier this week, a disabled domestic violence victim went into Trader Joe's in Emeryville to make a small purchase. In order to make the purchase, she had pulled out her travel money she needed to return to her home in Southern California, but as she did so, the money was grabbed before she could buy the items, leaving her stranded and without resources.
For some people, a loss of some gas money would not be that serious, but for a disabled woman who had barely escaped with her life from a violent setting and who was tying to get home, this loss was devastating.
The woman has returned daily to see if someone turned in the stolen money. Trader Joe's has no video cameras and is not able to track down the theft. People tend to look at this with a tough attitude but she is someone who really needs assistance.
If anyone has an information regarding the money that was stolen or if anyone has located those funds, please contact the Trader Joe's in Emeryville to help. We may not be able to change the whole world but maybe we can make a little difference in the life of a kind woman who is in need.

§Can we set up a fund for her?
Can we set up a fund for her, to help her out? Maybe at the Emeryville Trader Joe's? If each of us donated a few dollars, we might be able to raise enough to make up for the money that was stolen....
