"Don't Scab On Seniors" SF Workers/Retirees Protest Deal With Union Busters & Billionaires

San Francisco rank and file city workers and retirees on Saturday
September 24, 2011 picketed a kickoff rally for proposition C that
would attack the pensions and healthcare retirement benefits of
city workers. Keynote speaker Sean Elsbernd who was the author
of the proposition also wrote an initiative Prop G in the previous
election which banned the right of TWU 250 A Transit drivers
from negotiating working conditions. The union officials have joined
joined with the Republican party, the Committee On Jobs, SPUR and billionaire
Warren Hellman to push the anti-labor measure. Angry workers charged that
that the SFLC leadership had sold them out and also excluded retirees
from negotiations on the measure.
They also challenged these SF union officials as they left the meeting.
