America's Cup 2013 Plans Illegal Takeover of Aquatic Park, Public Land in San Francisco

by Had Enough
The rich folks' racket, America's Cup 2013, plans to take over public federal land, Aquatic Park, for several weeks apparently from July through September, prime swimming season. This is illegal and must be stopped now. Call all 11 members of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and complain.

The story of the hearing before City Planners is at:

There will be 500,000 people on the waterfront, a terrible nightmare in terms of pollution and enjoyment of our National Seashore, Aquatic Park, where people swim and enjoy the sun. The article indicates they plan to build a floating screen on a barge in the middle of Aquatic Park to watch the stupid sailboats! The pollution and overcrowded conditions will adversely affect the environment and the swimmers. Having a half million people on the waterfront will be a disaster.

Call the Board of Supervisors and demand that Aquatic Park be open to swimminers and beach lovers every single day of the year, free from the insanity called America's Cup. They all have voice mail so you can leave a message at any time. They are listed at
