On January 24, 2011, a representative of the Toronto Police Service was quoted saying, "Women should avoid dressing like sluts in order to not be victimized."

Slutwalk SFBay aims to combat the myth of "the slut" and the culture of victim blaming that prevails the world over. We believe that no matter what someone wears, they should not be sexually harassed, discriminated against or assaulted.

Slutwalk SFBay is for everyone: singles, couples, parents, sisters, brothers, friends. People of any age, race, gender, trans status, and sexual-orientation are welcome!

On Sunday 6/19 we will be having our first event, an info rally to let people know about SlutWalk and how to join the movement. We will be having a larger march in August, but we need to build momentum and raise money to make it as big as possible.

Get involved! After the rally, join us for a fundraiser with music, food, and help us make signs/banners for our contingent at SF Pride.

Fundraiser Party will be at Redstone Labor Temple: 2926-48 16th Street @ Capp St. from 5pm - 9pm.
