Help Delay the AT&T / T-Mobile Merger

On Thursday June 9th, the Bay Area will play a big role in deciding if the AT&T purchase of T-Mobile will sail through government regulators or get the long serious look it deserves.

The merger is likely to concentrate 83% of the wireless market in only 2 providers.

The California Public Utilities Commission is set to launch an informational proceeding to study the impact on California consumers, but they are facing heavy opposition from business groups and AT&T-funded community groups.

Come down Thursday morning to make a 2-3 minute public comment.

The public's voice is needed to drown out the lobbyists and the bought-and-paid for AT&T-supporters who don't want the government to do its job. California's is the 1st PUC in the country to call for such a proceeding and we need to make sure it happens on Thursday.
