This is the BIG ONE!!!

It's the 8TH Annual World Naked Bike Ride in San Francisco.

Last year we had our largest turnout ever and warmest day for a ride in the 8 years of riding bare through the streets of the city. It is time to bring your bikes to Justin Herman Plaza between Market Street & the Embarcadero Blvd.

We meet on the northeast side of Vaillancourt Fountain, between the fountain and Embarcadero Blvd at 11 AM. There will be a body painting booth to apply slogans and designs and time to prep your bikes with signs and meet with old and new friends.

While it is a "naked" bike ride, all are welcome; it's ride as bare as you dare. That is, body paint, rubber latex, bikinis, topless, lingerie, bubble pack, whatever costume you are comfortable riding with.

World Naked Bike Ride - Embarcadero

Our ride is part of a global protest taking place today in many cities throughout the US, Europe and other cities in the Northern Hemisphere. Tens of thousands of naked bike riders are protesting the global dependency of our society and economies at the hands of the oil cartels. We want to emphasize the harm this dependency causes to our environment, businesses and social lives. Nobody is unaffected. We want to endorse more bike riding and our nudity expresses our vulnerability to these matters. It also draws attention to our cause.

We will ride through many popular spots in the city such as Fisherman's Wharf, the Marina, along Embarcadero by AT&T Park, the Civic Center, and many more places of interest. It's great fun and an event you shouldn't miss.

Although the duration of the ride is listed at 7 hours, the first hour is spent prepping your bikes with any signs and a body painting booth is provided to paint slogans on your body if you desire. The ride departs just after the Noon Hour, and has multiple segments. You are free to ride as long as you like and can drop out at any point. Several times, we ride past or near the origin and also near several BART stations, so getting home is as easy as getting there.
