Monday-the week long protests kicked off with the arrest of over 50 student activists as well a few members of the local PSL(Party for Socialism and Liberation) as well a few Cta members. the charges where trespassing and skiing on a closed course inside the capitol. the protesters outside on the grounds chanting where made clear that they would be included in the arrests if they did not vacate the capitol grounds according to the California highway patrol, however from what i saw no arrests where made of those outside the building chanting slogans of support like " holla back...we got ya back". the arrested spent up to 12 hours in the local county jail and where released with court dates ranging from the June,12011 to June,5,2011

mid week saw the arrest of the president of the California teachers association along with a few teachers. this event looked and sounded like it was staged and preplanned with the local California highway patrol. the arrests seemed to have preplanned before the act itself began. the president of the California teachers association used this staged media stunt for his 15mins of fame with the local media that where covering the week long protests.

Friday- the California teachers association held a massive closing pep rally at the Capitol.
