Approximately 18 ILWU members and supporters had an several hour occupation of the PMA offices in Oakland to protest the lockout of their members in Concord by the Pacific Maritime Association. The PMA has also sued the ILWU Local 10, its president and other locals to try to destroy the union hall.  p1040832.jpg ILWU members and their supporters had an several hour occupation of the Oakland PMA offices on April 12, 2011. They left later for a rally at the entrance of the building to be joined by members who had left the docks to support them.

Mayor Jean Quan of Oakland passed by the workers in front of the PMA but but did not support or speak about this blatant attack on the ILWU by the PMA. She was supported by the ILWU in her past election victory
