March for Workers Solidarity in Fresno

by Mike Rhodes (editor [at] fresnoalliance.com)
Fresno labor activists and their allies held a Rally for Wisconsin's Workers today (Monday, April 4) in downtown Fresno. About 400 people turned out to express their solidarity with the working class and demand an end to the attacks against unions in Wisconsin and right here in Fresno. The photo below shows the crowd at Fresno City Hall - the Raging Grannies are singing songs of labor solidarity.

Fresno citizens marched upon local government to demand respect for our earned working rights. Wisconsin workers, Martin Luther King,
Cesar Chavez, and countless others have fought for simple freedoms for the everyday worker. Now, wealthy politicians think they can strip written laws that people have bled for? We say, NO WAY! We demand respect! We will fight back!
