YOU WILL SEE YOU CAN OVERCOME DOMESTIC VIOLENCE TOO!
Anyone came overcome domestic violence.
I know it is hard for me to believe I have overcome domestic violence in my own life. Last year I was finishing up my HIV Certificate at City College. The divorce became finalized by default during my winter break from school. Now I am going to get another aa in african american studies, graduating twice from City College, going after my sexual health educator certificate, possibly going to San Francisco State University, working towards my community health worker certificate and my as in health education at City College, getting computer tech certification and attending the Free University of San Francisco all at the same time. In addition I am now group facilitate my own safe sex groups, am a community member at SORRE from the HIV Council with the Department of Public Health and going to be trained as an HIV testing counselor. That is a lot for someone who didn't think I could make it without my abuser. I did a video to honor myself during this process. The artist is well known but the video has very personal meaning. It is my way of saying "You'll See" to my former abuser and ex husband.
