Location Details:
Maine: The Ellsworth - MDI Bridge, Ellswroth, ME

Marin: E. Sir Francis Drake Blvd., just east of U.S. Highway 101 just past The Larkspur Ferry Landing in Larkspur, CA.

Nationwide: Please check http://www.katrinasdream.org under Torture No Prisoner's tab.

Starting at The Bridge in Ellsworth, Maine ending at the West Gate at San Quentin Prison, activist and allies across this nation will be holding a Candlelight Vigil and Community Assembly on February 7, 2011 at 5:00 pm. We will meet in front of the Larkspur Landing Ferry Bldg. and leave for the West Gate of San Quentin Prison. People of all faiths will be gathering, calling on Governor Jerry Brown to Close the Death Chamber at San Quentin Prison and abolish the Death Penalty here in California. We are spotlighting the Largest Prison Strike in U.S. history by the brave leaders of the Georgia Prison Strike, and the senseless shooting of Guy Jarreau Jr. in Vallejo, CA. The murder of Guy Jarreau, Jr. once again demonstrates a pattern of abuse of detainees and prisoners alike, as in the death of Oscar Grant at the Fruitvale Bart Station and Victor Valdez in a Maine Prison.
