This month, Governor Brown released the first budget proposal of his new administration. What do you think? How would you vote on his proposed budget?

Come take the CA State Budget Challenge

Participate in Next Ten’s (http://www.next10.org/) hands-on activity that lets you decide how to balance the state budget. This interactive presentation allows you to choose how much to spend on schools, health services, prisons, the environment, and other state programs--and how to pay for them.

Come give Assemblymember Nancy Skinner the budget feedback that she needs to take back to Sacramento.

The California Budget Challenge, created by Next 10, is a hands-on, non-partisan budget activity that lets you decide how to balance the state budget. This interactive presentation allows you to choose how much to spend on schools, health services, prisons, the environment, and other state programs- and how you would pay for them—by voting on policy options that affect the budget in real-time with instant response clickers.

Co-sponsored by: OUSD School Board Director Jody London, Claremont Middle School PTA, Oakland Parents Together, BANANAS, Rockridge Community Planning Council, Alzheimer’s Association of the East Bay and more to come!
