Anarchists Against the Wall on Speaking Tour in US
AATW Presents on Resisting the Israeli Occupation of Palestinian Land
Anarchists Against the Wall (AATW) is an Israeli direct action group established in 2003 to resist the Annexation Wall being built by Israel on Palestinian land in the Occupied West Bank. They support Palestinian civilian resistance to massive confiscation of land and denial of freedom of movement caused by construction of the Wall. AATW activists have joined thousands of demonstrations against the Wall and against the Occupation in dozens of villages throughout the West Bank.

It is illegal for Israelis to travel and protest throughout much of the West Bank, but standing side by side with Palestinians, the group has experienced Israeli repression first-hand. Palestinians who live in the Occupied territories obviously bear the brunt of Israeli repression, but members of AATW have also suffered many injuries, some of them severe. Over a hundred indictments have been filed against AATW members, their houses have been raided repeatedly, and they have been demonized by the Israeli government. Despite the physical danger and the emotional stress involved, AATW activists continue to place themselves on the line in support of the struggle for Palestinian liberation.

Anarchists Against the Wall are touring in the US, including giving several presentations in Northern California.
