The Ohlone people once lived on the land known as People's Park, which is now supposedly owned by the University of California.

Come to an all day ceremony of resistance in honor of the Tuk--Pikuni (tree people) who, contesting Berkeley University's control and development of Muwekma (the Ohlone word for People) Park, are presently engaged in what will be the 40th day of a tree sit intended to insure the area remains a community resource for the poor, the homeless and everyone.
