President Obama, "It's finally time to make things right," Black Farmers in America

by michael harris
People of African ancestry were kidnapped, enslaved and often murdered for centuries to build the United States of America. In 1862, as a "Civil War" measure, President Lincoln created the United States Department of Agriculture, prior to signing the Emacipaton Proclaimation, only freeing those enslaved human beings in the States in rebellion, the Confederate States of America. Pigford II, part of the Claims Resolution Act of 2010 is limited to 1981 - 1996 claims of modern systemic institutional racism that continues today throughout America. Many Congressmembers ignore billions of Ag payments to dead white men, however the notion of resolving legal claimants in U.S. court is beyond the belief of some. A new generation of Black Agriculture leaders seeks the support of the international community who want to enjoy the bounty of "California Grown" fresh fruits and vegetables, " The Greatest Garden in the Modern World" is available to share the blessings of the bounty from the lands of Queen Califia.

Washington, D.C. ~ President Barack Obama Signed the Claims Resolution Act of 2010 at the White House.

The legislation "closes a long and unfortunate chapter in our history," U.S. President Barack Obama said, "It's finally time to make things right."

"Black participation in the broader U.S. Agriculture industry remains an ongoing effect of systemic institutional racism mandated by America’s “original sin,” according to Michael Harris, Ag Policy Director, California Chapter, Black Farmers and Agriculturalists Association, “many American’s continue to suffer from historical amnesia and pretend that our earliest Black agriculture pioneers grave markers in the #1 Agriculture state do not reflect the impact of demonic values and beliefs that many U.S. Congress members continue to articulate.”

With a stroke of his pen, President Barack Obama signed the Claims Resolution Act of 2010 and provides a legal framework toward providing a just remedy after decades of discrimination by the US Department of Agriculture, “America’s Last Plantation.”

“Black famers have waited many years for this day – the end of denied justice, the dawn of a new era of equality. When the President signed the Claims Resolution Act of 2010, America’s Black Farmers will finally have an opportunity to have their claims individually determined on their merits, and their long wait will finally end.”

“For this, we thank President, the leaders of Congress, the current leadership at the USDA and many others. But we reserve our highest praise for the many Black Farmers and those who attempted to farm but suffered years of discrimination, yet persevered. For those famers who have passed on, they can now rest easy knowing the pathway to justice has opened for America’s Black Farmers,” said John W. Boyd Jr., a tireless advocate for black farmers around the country. John is my friend, often misunderstood by many tramautized folk who continue to fight historic and modern demons.

We now turn our attention to Judge Paul Freidman, who will rule on the process and way forward to settle outstanding claims.

United States District Court for the District of Columbia - Case number 1:08-cv-00940

Today, the earliest California Black Pioneers grave markers continue to reflect a foul intent, desire of the heart and daily bread of those barbaric, demonic, christian white supremacist articulated by the first California Governor Peter Burnett.

Many continue to silently capitulate to this value and belief, especially many National Black Church Leaders who in the face of historic opportunity, in fact support the ongoing death and destruction of a people, refusing to demonstrate the "Faith to Farm in America."
