East Bay | Racial Justice2 Years! Bullshit! Photos from the March and Rally Against the Mehserle Sentencing
These are photos taken from the rally and march on November 5. As many speakers said, quoting John Burris, attorney for the family of Oscar Grant, Michael Vick got 4 years for shooting a dog. Johannes Mehserle got 2 years for shooting Oscar. To this rotten system the life of a young Black man is worth less than a dog!  march3.jpg More than 400 people rallied at the civic center in Oakland. The speeches, especially those from the community were very angry. Hundreds blocked the streets in the face of a massive police presence.
