Settlers Security Personnel kill Samir Solhan in Silwan, riots breakout
Settlers Security Personnel kill Samir Solhan in Silwan, Palestinians riot against the occupation forces.
On the morning of Wednesday, September 22, settler security personnel stationed in the village of Silwan in East Jerusalem shot and killed Samir Solhan. Solhan, a father of four, was a well known figure in Silwan. The Palestinian residents of Silwan rioted during the day. The security forces that protect the settler houses in Silwan are known for their brutality and violence. Many see them as a private militia that uses violence and fear in an effort to force Palestinians to leave the neighborhood and so that Jewish settlers can take over their houses.
