Come learn basic verbal and physical self defense skills, including boundary setting, how to get people's hands off you, escaping from chokes, targeting and striking, taking someone down to the ground, and fighting from the ground.

Girl Army's Fall 2010 Basics Course will be held Sundays from 1pm to 4pm on October 10, 17, 24, 31, and November 7 and 14. We strongly recommend that you attend all of the classes. (Due to the nature and pace of the six-week course, we cannot take new students after the second class.) The fee for the course is $120-$0 sliding scale (no one turned away for lack of funds). Classes will be held at Suigetsukan Dojo in Oakland (a ten-minute walk from the Lake Merritt BART station).

Class size is limited, so please pre-register! Just send your name, email address, and/or phone number to us at girlarmyoakland [at] gmail.com. You can also leave a voice mail for us at (510) 496-3443. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the class, or visit our website at http://www.girlarmy.org.
