Obama's servile sycophancy to U.S. Militarism

The outright lies and misrepresentations of the speech were so grotesque that even mainstream corporate media was forced to "balance" it with some minor criticisms of Obama's fantastic projections of "success" in describing the(very bleak)future prospects of the puppet Iraqi state!

Perhaps--in a similar unenviable scenario faced by former Sec'y of State Colin Powell who was compelled to tell contrived lies before the UN assembly prior to the illegal invasion of Iraq--Obama simply misspoke? His conscience may have wanted to say that the primary mission of the US Military was to "steal" Iraqi resources, and that the subsequent occupation was run by Washington's decrepit "ship of fools." But instinctively, Barack's sycophantic pragmatism channeled his eventual utterances in praise of the "steel" of the USA empire's "ship of state"!

Progressive citizens and Peace activists, however, should remember that BHO was selected by the Wall Street-Pentagon-Terror Complex in 2008 precisely to be the latest "used war salesman" of the declining USA empire, in a last-ditch attempt to salvage eroding domestic support for 2 Imperial wars that were getting "bloody-nosed" by vastly outgunned but fierce and resilient local resistance fighters in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Objectively speaking, both neo-colonial occupations are turning into Operations Enduring Fiascos, but with the open connivance of the corporate-bin-Laden media, 2 late-term military "surges"(to nowhere!) were massively funded to mask the long-term strategic debacles in Baghdad and Kabul. To paraphrase a popular adage, old--and receding--empires never die, they just try to hang on as long as possible before finally fading away!
