The Santa Cruz green community will come together to spread the message of corporate-free sustainability with a screening of the film, TAPPED, at the historic Del Mar Theatre in downtown Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz. Native Martha Mendoza, a Pulitzer Prize Winning AP Journalist, will keynote this event. The screening is part of a local movement in conjunction with a Bay Area effort to ban disposable plastic. Starting with legislation Prop.AB1998 undertaken in San Francisco to ban disposable plastic bags, the crusade is spreading to a comprehensive course of action toward sustainable living.
