Today (Wednesday) at the last minute I found out about a demonstration taking place at St. Mary's College. There I joined up with other individuals who were protesting that today's debate between Democrat Barbara Boxer and Republican Carly Fiorina was not open to any third party candidates, ie. Green Party candidates; Peace and Freedom Party candidates.

There was a noticeable contingent of Hispanos from the SEIU labor union that was rooting for Senator Barbara Boxer. Someone on my side had a loudspeaker and after he made statements about the shutting out of third party candidates, etc., I went on the same loud speaker to translate into Spanish.

We passed out flyers that said "Open the Debate -Hear another side... In a real debate you listen to people argue sharp differences of opinion. Where do the United States Senate candidates stand on these important issues?"
