Three Latina immigrants are spotlighted in this Emmy award-winning documentary. Lupe, Maura, and Maria fight tenaciously to hold a popular clothing retailer accountable for the abuses of its sweatshop subcontractors. Personal stories, intimate interviews, and protest footage highlight their organizing efforts, which include a spirited national boycott and a legal fight for unpaid wages and safe working conditions.

Norma Marcela Gallegos
Chicana feminist and National Comrades of Color Caucus firebrand, will lead off an open discussion with an overview of current challenges in the fight for immigrant rights and the leadership role of hardworking sisters from other lands.
