Friday, August 6th, 2010 will mark the 65th Anniversary of the Atomic Bomb being dropped on Hiroshima. 65 years later, people are still feeling the effects of the blast. Despite the fatalities, there are still nulcear weapons in our arsenal. Nuclear weapons are still a major part of our national security policy, and... the government has made little progress in changing that. So, on August 6th, 2010, there will be a demonstration outside the Livermore Lab at 8:00 AM. Join us in proclaiming "Never Again", and make clear our determination to retire the bomb once and for all.
Events will include Taiko Drummers, speakers, including Norman Soloman, and spoken word poet Kayla Martin. This Event is co-sponsored by the Mt. Diablo Peace and Justice Center, Tri-Valley CAREs, and others.
