May day in San Francisco 2010

by Charles Slay (slaycslay [at] aol.com)
In one of the largest protest gatherings in recent San Francisco history, several thousand people marched down mission street to the Civic center to protest the recent Arizona legislation directed at un-documented immigrants. May Day, being the traditional labor day, many unions also came out to celebrate the workers holiday and spotlight other issues. The laborer's Union led the march.

Much of the concern over SB 1070 concerns racial profiling.
