A march and rally in downtown Fresno in support of immigrant rights brought out over 2,000 people today (May 1). Marchers demanded that President Obama & the U.S. Congress pass a Comprehensive and Humane Immigration Reform NOW! They demanded an end to the persecution of Workers and Families! The march and rally was organized by the May First Committee.
§The March
The march shut down much of downtown Fresno on Saturday afternoon.
Many Groups, including Peace Fresno, participated in the march and rally. Peace Fresno president, Camille Russell spoke at the rally.
