“Edible Art in Oakland”



Edible East Bay and the Women’s Cancer Resource Center collaborate to bring “Edible Art” to the JanRae Community Art Gallery. The opening reception will be Friday, April 2 from 7 – 9 PM with live music from the Healing Muses and refreshments from Lev’s Kombucha and Nibbler’s Eatery.



The show which runs through June 25, 2010 features twelve local artists whose work has been featured on the cover and/or inside the quarterly food periodical, Edible East Bay. The artists are: Zina Deretsky, Kieren Dutcher, Rosalie Z. Fanshel, Lorrie Fink, David Lance Goines, Helen Krayenhoff, J. Panter, Linda Pedersen, Francesca Preston, Margo Rivera-Weiss, Luz Marina Ruiz and Cheryl Angelina. The work spans drawings, linocut prints, soft sculpture, watercolor painting, lithography and other media.



Please join us for a delightful evening. The event is free and wheelchair accessible. Everyone is welcome. The Jan Rae Community Art Gallery is located at 5741 Telegraph Avenue in Oakland.
