A huge crowd gathered at San Francisco's Civic Center March 4, 2010 to demand an end to cuts in educational spending.

A group led by UNITE HERE Local 2 marched around the State Building on McAlister Street.
Many labor unions came out in support. Such as, UNITE HERE Local 2, American Federation of Teachers Local 2121, the Office and Professional Employee's International Union Local 3, The S.F. Labor Council and United Educators of S.F. #61.
A large group confronted City Hall with chants of "save our schools," Mayor Newsom was nowhere in sight.
