Hundreds of students are marching through the streets of downtown Santa Cruz on Thursday, March 4th. They are currently at the intersection of Pacific and Laurel chanting "No Cuts, No Fees, Education Should be Free!" Some photos will be posted later.
§7:45ish Update
The students marched up Pacific Ave to the clock tower and occupied the intersection. Police in cars and on motorcycles blocked the intersection from oncoming traffic. People circled, played music and danced while waiting for a sound-system to arrive.
To be continued. The demonstration ended without incident after students mingled and danced in the intersection for a short while to their favorite hits, including California Love by Tupac and We Are Your Friends by Justice vs Simian.
