Grant Family Members and Friends, Community Activists, Pastors, Youth Leaders Speak Out on BART Efforts Reduce the Value of Oscar’s Life and the Life of His Friends
(OAKLAND) – Family and Friends of Oscar Grant, community activists, pastors, residents and youth leaders are outraged by the recent BART attempts to drive down settlement demands and reduce the value of the life of Oscar Grant III and his friends. The shooting of Oscar Grant demands justice, not public relations and political compromises. Johannes Mehserle is on trial for the murder of Oscar Grant III and BART is being sued for wrongful death. The victims of this crime need justice.
