The Plebeian antidote to Hectoring Hegemons
The Plebeian antidote to Hectoring Hegemons
Project Humanbeingsfirst Ebook 2010 February Edition contains all PHBF published reports and letters between February 2007 and February 2010 in an online-browsable PDF with links intact. This self-contained Ebook is built directly from the website http://print-humanbeingsfirst.blogspot.com on February 05, 2010.
The compilation teaches how to interpret tumultuous current affairs without either getting fooled by the Mighty Wurlitzer's all encompassing propaganda machinery, or by one's own worldview and prejudices. As Martin Luther King Jr. had so soulfully iterated four decades earlier during the height of Vietnam War:
“In international conflicts the truth is hard to come by, because most nations are deceived about themselves. Rationalizations and the incessant search for scapegoats, are the psychological cataracts that blind us to our sins. But the day has passed for our superficial patriotism. He who lives with untruth lives in spiritual slavery. Freedom is still the bonus we receive for knowing the truth. 'Yee shall know the truth', says Jesus, 'and the truth shall set you free.'”
While Project Humanbeingsfirst teaches one to think in self-defense and to forensically see past those “psychological cataracts”, it does not dispense advice. As always, one is not only responsible for one's own acts of conscience, but also of one's acts of moral cowardice, apathy, and silent spectating. Indeed, in Martin Luther King's echo of Dante:
“the hottest places in hell are reserved for those who in a period of moral crisis, maintain their neutrality.”
