Wachovia charges for contributions to Haitian earthquake aid.
Consumers, led by a courageous student, are abandoning Wachovia, which sought to profit from the tragedy in Haiti by charging outrageous fees for contributions.
Wells Fargo, Wachovia's parent company, defended the charges. Note that Wells Fargo has also defended former employee Cheronda Guyton, who occupied a foreclosed home and current senior manager Larry Tewell, who travels to conferences on a private jet.
