Reply to Digital Journalist: Let's Abolish the Term 'Citizen Journalists'
MISSOULA, Jan. 21 (Al-Masakin)--The question of journalist or non-journalist is a question of ground to consequence. For some the ground is some kind of activism, e.g. 'world hunger,' or the like.
The activist has the cause as ground and media as the consequence. A journalist on the other hand has media as ground and media as writing, or photo, or video as consequence. For the journalist ground and consequence are the same. For those of an ulterior motive, ground and consequence differ.
With respect to 'citizen journalism' I should remind the author that all historical developments are necessary developments, i.e., ex necessitate. In other words the rise of the citizen journalist would not have happened if it were not necessary to happen.
