Cris Ericson has followed many cases involving the military high explosive, PETN, which is also
a federally regulated toxic hazardous substance which can cause high pressuriztion shock wave brain injuries. PETN is normally used with squibs and detonators. It is usually electronically detonated with electric wires, not ignited by fire.
Cris Ericson was involved in litigation for ten years, and lost, fighting attorneys who had attorneys who had attorneys. Ericson filed three petitions to the Supreme Court of the U.S., docket #99-6899 and all were denied.
Cris Ericson expressed concern that the squibs and detonators, which include PETN, used in the movie industry in California:
(1) create unsafe working conditions for Californians;
(2) at the end of the movie filming day when there are explosives left-over,
there is a risk of the left-over explosives being re-sold in the black market.
ERICSON IS CONCERNED THAT NO ONE PAID ANY ATTENTION TO HER COMPLAINTS.
