FIRE DYER!! vigil for recent victims of police terrorism
Today close to 70 people gathered to remember Lonnie Graham, Steven Vargas, and Roberto Garcia who were all slain by FPD or CHP this year. The people of Fresno are saying Ya Basta (enough is enough) to the corrupt leadership of FPD by Chief Jerry Dyer. These "execution by cop" are not a few bad apples, it's a rotten tree and we must start from the top.

70 friends and family of Lonnie Graham, Steven Vargas, and Roberto Garcia gathered with the Fresno Brown Berets to demand that Jerry Dyer be either fired or resign immediately. Dyer and his cops are out of control and we the people of Fresno have lost all confidence in them.
Speakers are: Ben Benavidez former president of MAPA (Mexican American Political Association), Warrior Woman and Longwalker of Redwind, and family of the victims.
Protestors marched from in front of FPD headquarters to the corner of Fresno/M in front of the jail where they rallied for over 2 hours. During this time an of-duty officer pushed a child as he went from the street to the sidewalk. He was confronted by family members and acted very confrontationally. Despite his denial of being an officer he was seen after the protest working out in the police department gym.
