Strike at St. Francis Hotel

The chants are, "No Contract-No Peace," "No Healthcare-No Peace!" "No Paycheck-No Peace!" "Who's in the streets?-Local 2!" "Who's got the power?-We've got the power!" and "What kind of power?-Union power!" An area is set aside for Local 2 members to rest and drink coffee and water. Attention was given to guests and scabs. Guests were told to check out and the scabs were treated with scorn. What happens when the scabs get pay cuts? Who will replace them? How can they fight without union organizing? Please don't ever stay at a hotel when there is a strike and understand that our quality of life deteriorates when scabs replace workers who are in a union.
