Many wanabees aiming at SF District 10 Supervisor seat - Sophie Maxwell -RECALL?.
There are so many wanabees trying to run for the District 10 seat in San Francisco - that it reminds you of a dog race track. The only problem those in the race are mostly - SKUNKS. Joining the band of inept, clueless, lacking sound leadership - one Lynette Sweet. Another, useless politician trying to throw her hat in the same race - Carol Migden. Yet, another nightmare - on the horizon trying to enter - the skunk race - Linda Richardson. Linda has been making her rounds trying to vie constituents to back her lousy intentions to serve the community for personal gain.
The Bayview Hunters Point has yet to have a leader that is educated on issues and really is a true leader. Good leaders know the way, show the way, and go the way.
The present San Francisco Supervisor of District 10 is one Sophie Maxwell aka Sophina Maxwell - a sellout. During her term this despicable woman has done everything in her power to divide the community and make money for herself. In other words she is a sellout.
Had the Bayview Hunters Point had a good leader - this leader would have prepared the way for other good leaders and candidates to take on the role of a sound leader - and take the Bayview Hunters Point to a better place.
This can never, ever happen with a spineless, clueless, corrupt person like Sophie Maxwell - around.
There are so many folks trying to vie for this seat of SF District 10 - not so much to help the people but to attain some status having NOT served the community in any notable capacity.
There are some candidates and all they do is shout and scream - proclaim at every unruly meeting - that they have lived in the Bayview for so many years. What has that got to do with leadership?
Marie Franklin purports to be with the NAACP and want to be the District 10 Supervisor. She has not once joined us to fight Lennar and the poisoning of our children and elders. Has no clue of what is happening with over 30,000 units that will adversely affect - Quality of Life issues.
Then there are others, of the worse caliber and corrupt and vain, that say they know some about Real Estate and when they could NOT get anything from Lennar - are now vying for the SF District 10 Supervisors seat - such scum bags would do better - to stay out and stay put. More, they really do not live in the community. The are staking it out - with some temporary residence - if investigated will bust their chops.
One of two younger candidates such as Malia Cohen mean well - but, do not have the fortitude to deal with "dog eat dog" corrupt individuals that do the bidding of the Pacific Height Mafia as does Sophie Maxwell. You could take the chance and get burnt - but, it is not worthwhile to have the scar while you have a future - doing other things. Politics is a dirty, filthy - game of cut throats and immoral folks.
Eric Smith talks a good talk but he too has NOT joined the community to openly fight Lennar with the community. The community as in the case of Eric Smith are not too comfortable with folks that have just moved in from somewhere else - trying to take the reigns of the Bayview Hunters Point and pretending to take it some where - incognito.
None of the many candidates for SF District 10 have a plan, because none of them have sound committees that first understand the issues at hand and more what is in store for the Bayview Hunters Point.
In the Bayview for as long as I remember is to flood the election for District 10 with as many candidates - many paid by, and ready to sell their souls. Then the "devils" behind the scene - pick one of two - and the worst one wins. That is how Sophie Maxwell came into power - the most despicable ever to enter City Hall in San Francisco.
Soon, the SF Planning Department will release an Environmental Impact Report on Candlestick Recreation Area - none of the candidates have plans to come to the community and address this issue.
Let us see now that I have put this issue on there - how many can come to the community and address this issue. Lennar plans to build a 22 story hotel - right by True Hope Church where Aurelious Walker makes his abode. The land is prone to liquefaction and flooding - but more no one in the community knows anything about this fake development.
Less, the 23 acres of State Land stolen by Senate Bill 792 initiated by Senator Mark Leno - who stood to make money and so did Sophie Maxwell - and all those other sellouts we saw in Sacramento. Aurelious Walker, Lola Whittle, Linda Richardson, Doris Vincent, and so on.
2568 acres plus that come under the SF Redevelopment Agency are due for development in the Bayview Hunters Point.
Many in the community do not TRUST the SF Redevelopment Agency (SFRA). We know very well what happened in the Fillmore and we know exactly what will happen at Hunters Point, Visitation Valley, and all over Bayview and further into Potrero Hill.
Let us see what Tony brings from the Potrero Boosters to the entire community. Then there is that weasel of a man - Steven Moss who first got his break by getting a grant from Sophie Maxwell - over $1.5 million part of the $13.6 million settlement Pacific Gas and Electric paid the State of California. Steve Moss is a candidate and God help us if he wins. He will pander to his ILK and the Pacific Heights Mafia for sure.
It is from these funds - the $13.6 million that the SF Department of Environment was created - and fake organizations like Literacy for Environmental Justice, Bayview Hunters Point Advocates - one got $900,00 plus the other $1.5 million - audits done by the SF City proved the money was NOT well spent. I mention this because such fake Community Based Organization foster corruption and back corrupt political candidates. These CBOs want the money - they do not want to serve the community.
Over $30 million runs through the many CBOs in the Bavyiew Hunters Point - that is a lot of money. Ask the SF Controller's Office and you will be surprised. In the past Young Community Developers has wasted over $15 million.
Arc Ecology is poised to support some corrupt candidates - having received in all the years it has been in the Bayview over $20 million.
All roads point in the direction of "corruption" - most blatant and some subtle.
None of the candidates really are for "family values" - following Sophie Maxwell who has never stood for family values - never, is seen with her so called significant other.
It is at times like this that certain dubious quarters want to position themselves - not so much to foster family values but the trend that has been set - single units, little or nothing for our children, less for our schools, and still less for parenting and sound homes with two parents one male and the other female.
History has shown that any Black aspiring to the position of SF Disrtrict 10 somehow gets entrapped in the worst corruption. The talk about the BIG FIVE and so on - sound good but for a short while -but, when the through audit is done - all of them talked the talked but failed miserably to walk the walk. Most of them made money while the sun was shinning.
Sophie Maxwell and those that backed her initially - had no clue how devoid of leadership and compassion Sophie Maxwell would turn out to be. The same backers now want to creep into the same bed - and take the Bayview Hunters Point down the road of despair, destitution, destruction, and utter fiasco.
One group that supported Sophina Maxwell and suffered the most - the Samoans. Go to them and ask them if this is a fact - yes or no.
It is a pity the the SF Democratic Central Committee controlled by the Pacific Height Mafia has not done anything much. This dubious organization that sends the SLATE and encourages their own candidates - will fail this time. As usual they are dividing the Bayview Hunters Point community - and will select and back a candidate -that will be forced to do the will of the Pacific Heights Mafia - folks like Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein, Walter Shorestein, Richard Blum, Richard Swig and so on.
An Independent candidate is called for and should be supported and backed by all. However this candidate must understand and fathom the issues that have not been addressed and plague the Bayview Hunters Point, Potrero Hill, Visitation Valley, Portola and all of SF District 10.
It is better if Sophie Maxwell is recalled - never mind if a few months are left for her in office. She should be sent to where ever she wants to go - oblivion - this disgraceful woman to the human race. This woman has with intent helped to poison our children and elders.
Had the audacity to carve out her home from the SF Redevelopment Agency Survey and Project Area. If this is not a crime - I do not know what is?

So, is Brother Leon Muhammad running ?
I met with Geoffrea, the grand daughter of Charlie Walker, on an unrelated issue on which she sought counsel (Palo Alto Police' killing of her youngest Brother Leonard Bradley Jr, 15, last month)
Geoffrea, a young social worker, born and raised in SF Bayview, is also running, mostly on a platform fostering jobs and training for our Youth.
But I do not feel much potential for political leadership, and could not feel her around the Lennar issue.
