Et tu, Barack, you Brute!?

Barack Obama is the latest White House Occupier who is simultaneously a staunch defender of the US empire AND at the same time a hostage to the bi-partisan Military Industrial Complex.

Thoroughly brainwashed by Monopoly Capital's logic of Imperial hegemony, an otherwise intelligent Obama grew up with an idyllic--though misguided--vision of American "leadership"(Empire's codeword for global dominance)in world affairs. He is caught between seeing America as the Good Global Cop and the much more sinister & belligerent war-hawk faction that's infesting Capitol Hill and the Pentagon(who are staunch supporters of Full Spectrum Dominance). Hence the Obama team's world view is like that of a frog looking up at the sky from the bottom of a well. Even with multiple meetings with his top advisors, Barack could only conjure up the false choice of: A)sending thousands more militant Invaders to prop up the faltering puppet Karzai regime in Kabul, or B)deploying hundreds more robotic drones to rain terrorist bombs on innocent civilians in the AfPak region. This is like a modern-day Greek tragedy--or a twisted but self-imposed "Sophie's Choice"--in which the "decider" is genuinely trying to extract a favorable exit strategy for the USA Failed & Rogue State. As long as the Obama team refuses to abandon the Imperial logic of USA Capitalism, there will be no graceful exit for the Washington Globetrotters.
