Its Time for A Change at UGSOA. Hough For UGSOA President 2010

Michael Hough For UGSOA International President May 2010 Experience Leadership Stability

In 1992 Jim A. Vissar founded our great union UGSOA. Since his passing in the summer of 2007 UGSOA has been under the control of UGSOA President James Carney who many feel lacks the vision and leadership Jim A. Vissar possessed. At the present time under the direction of James Carney we are now at war with several unions including the biggest of them all the Service Employees International Union SEIU.

UNITED GOVERNMENT SECURITY :

OFFICERS OF AMERICA :

INTERNATIONAL UNION et al., :

Plaintiffs, Civil Action No.: 09-1490 (RWR)

v.

SERVICE EMPLOYEES :

INTERNATIONAL UNION et al., :

Defendants.

What will be the END result of this war with the SEIU and other security unions? It is our opinion that it will undoubtedly bankrupt the general funds of the UGSOA International Union which only has NET ASSETS of $266,394.

Under the Carney administration UGSOA makes many Claims that we don't RAID Other Unions. However this is FALSE! We do RAID Other Security Unions thats why we are now at WAR!

How Can We Service our Members properly with the little funds we have and fight a WAR with the SEIU and other unions?

Under James Carney the UGSOA continues to LOSE members.

We have gone from 10,917 members to 9150 a LOSS of 1,767 members as reported by the Department of Labor. Most recently we lost the State Department in Washington D.C which had a total of 700 plus members.

In addition to the above many of our locals are not paying dues causing us with a loss of revenue.

Despite the above, James Carney has increased his salary from $70,014 to $91,868 a year.

To add insult to injury four (4) of our units totaling a membership of 300 plus have filed Decertification petitions to leave UGSOA in Washington D.C. and the word on the street is more is coming. Press Here to See.
