The Raging Grannies protested at a Republican fund raising luncheon today... Republican leader John Boehner has recently made statements against health care reform. The grannies demonstrated in front of the Stanford Park Hotel in Menlo Park. The Lincoln Club of Northern California sponsored a fundraising luncheon with a special guest speaker, House Republican Leader John Boehner, for the National Republican Congressional Committee.
Boehner recently said, "I don't know anyone outside of Congress and the administration who has mentioned wanting a public option." And this from someone who has only attended tea-party type health care demos! Raging Grannies set out to combat this lunacy of his statement... tickets for the lunch were, by the way, $1000 per person.
