INFILTRATORS (?) IN SANTA CRUZ PLEASE FWD
description of 3 peoples appearance and very sketchy behavior.
okay so here is the story. these 3 really weird, really clean young
people calling themselves "anarchist travelers" showed up to the
occupation last night and were let in by mistake. no one knew them.
they said they had heard about the occupation and wanted to help.
there is a guy called kao, cleanshaven, he has anarchy signs
"tattooed"(?) on his wrist and neck, he wears a camo headband, says
hes from louisiana. young lady named casey who has braces, juggles a
little and carries a ukelele, a fauxhawk with a rat tail, says shes
from laguna beach. there was another guy, bearded and sort of
nondescript, didnt say much at all.
they were really vague about a lot of stuff but really specifically
interested in plans for future activity and occupations, and were
immediately asking really inappropriate questions. they also wanted to
look at everything inside like how the barricades were set up. they
were told, diplomatically that they should leave "because we dont know
you, we are not really letting people in we dont know, and most of us
are going to bed". i saw them at sub rosa today and considered
mentioning the situation to kai who was staffing. but i hadnt heard as
much as i did when i got back up here just now after one of them came
back to see if there was anything she could do and because she left
her phone plugged in here (without telling anyone, without having been
told that they would be allowed inside the space again). someone
talked to her outside for a while and said "i made sure to pat her on
the back, she was either has a really weird bra strap or is wearing a
wire". she told our friend that she and the other 2 had "gotten a
ride" downtown in a cop car last night after they left the space (as
if in case we had followed them and seen them get into a cop car... we
didnt). she said the cop was really chill (!) and "the cops arent
afraid of you guys, you need to do more shit" she suggested we take
over CVS downtown (?!?!)
maybe we are being overly paranoid but i think its really important to
share these kinds of suspicions. the case of eric mcdavid (for one)
should remind us all of the possible devastating repercussions and it
may have been an instance that the feds learned something from (ie,
send a small pack of kids instead of just one). even if they arent
narcs they are fucking morons with an inclination towards machismo and
"proving themselves hardcore" by talking about really sketchy shit,
prying into everyones business and jsut being really fucking sketchy
and dumb. hanging out with cops?! seriously???
they are not welcome at the occupied space, i dont think they should
be welcome at sub rosa, or in our radical circles generally. i think
people shoudl deal with them carefully but firmly.
please circulate this within our circles of friends

I'd say the best strategy is to get to know all your acquaintances well in neutral events such as soccer or movie nights, have conversations about boring things, have them introduce their mom when she visits etc.
