Cabrillo Students March To Support Colter White
Cabrillo students are marching on the county building in support of fellow student, Colter White.
Taken from the "Free Colter White" Facebook page
"In his short time as a student at Cabrillo College, Colter White has already made an incredible positive impact. Despite his difficult past, Colter overcame all obstacles to enroll at Cabrillo, improve himself and improve others.
He’s maintained a 4.0 and was elected as President of Alpha Gamma Sigma, Cabrillo’s Honor’s Society. His work and dedication in the club earned him the 2009 Student Affairs Activities Award and the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
As a communications major, Colter is in his last year at Cabrillo and recently got accepted to Santa Clara University where he plans to further his education. He is an inspiration for anyone working to make a difference in the world.
Due to a misunderstanding, Colter is facing a year in prison for a parole violation. This is a huge mistake and a grave injustice. If someone like Colter can end up in prison after all the work he’s done, there is a huge flaw in our justice system.
Colter worked endlessly to make a complete turnaround in his life to become an outstanding leader in our community. He made Cabrillo a better place. Now he needs us more than ever.
Join us for a march to show Colter the support he deserves and to take a stand against injustice.
March for Colter. March for Freedom. March for Justice.
