Darren Doherty (Australia) is one of the world's most experienced Permaculture Design professionals and teachers.ᅠᅠᅠ A prolific designer, Darren has developed over 1100 properties across 4 continents and has co-taught with Bill Mollison & David Holmgren (the co-originators of Permaculture) and Geoff Lawton.
Darren will be bringing his immense experience in water design, pasture regeneration, and species selection to the MA Center. Over the course of 3-days Darren will bring participants through a step by step design process:
~Food forestry meets market orchard
~Laying out hillside orchards using keyline design and ploughing
~Moving water from ponds & valleys to pastures, orchards, & forests
~Discussing real-time on-site Permaculture consultancy strategies
~Lush, tree-lined pasture systems for free ranged livestock
~Connecting creeks, gullies, and rainwater catchment across landscape
~Designing low-tech water systems for broad acreage
